Bug Report
I have noticed a bug with the recent times on the right hand side of every page, it seems that they don't update when you are not logged in, I have a screenshot detailing this for you when I next see you online. i submitted it to the images section of projects too.
1. shows the time it thinks the last topic was written (roughly 3 hours)
2. shows the date of the post (7th december at roughly 5pm)
3. shows the actual time (8th december at roughly 8pm)
the times dont match as you can work out....
After i logged in the timers sorted themselves out though
This is down to two things. Caching of site data for anonymous users and anonymous users not having global position data stored on the site.
Basically to save server load a copy of the site is cached for all anonymous users (anyone who's not logged in). This will stop times from updating frequently.
Additionally, not knowing each anonymous users timezone causes times to be 'all over the place'.
So it's more so a feature!
ahh right, that makes sence, by the way, did you not manage to get the image I uploaded to the image place? Or did you just replace it with the picture of the bug
I never saw an image. :S
